Do you and your child fight over homeschool time? Is it a struggle to pull them away from the electronics and get the day's lessons done? Do you give in some days, then feel guilty about it afterwards? And when Maths or Science comes up, do you quietly dread having to teach a concept you're not sure of yourself?
Home Quest Academy was built for exactly those days. It's a UK curriculum platform where the lesson itself is the game: your child clicks, answers, earns and asks for the next topic, while you get an honest picture of what they truly know.
The first topic of every subject is free to try. No card details, no sign-up forms.
Every lesson teaches on screen, proves itself on paper and pays out in rewards you control.
A friendly character guide teaches each concept step by step: short explanations, then a question to answer. Wrong answers get gentle coaching until it clicks. After each lesson, an optional Challenge Arena race against a rival buddy earns bonus XP.
Screens never replace handwriting here. Each lesson hands off to real workbook pages, which land on your marking list. You mark the written work, enter the score and the app converts it to XP. No self-claimed rewards exist anywhere.
XP builds towards milestones you set. When one is reached, you exchange XP for a printable reward voucher with a value you choose, honoured by you. The app sells your child nothing and handles no payments from them.
Most learning apps mix rewards and results into one number. We keep them apart on purpose.
Only first-try answers count, with no recovery on retries. Replays are free practice that never inflate the record. This is the number you trust, and the parent dashboard flags exactly which misconception to watch for when it dips.
Earned by demonstrable work: lessons, challenges, marked pages and chores you verify. Mistakes never drain it, so struggling children keep their motivation while the accuracy score tells you the truth.
Nine original characters, each with a personality that flavours how lessons are narrated and hints are given. Your child picks a guide and a racing buddy, or lets each topic's expert take over.
Built for the UK national curriculum, designed to work alongside the CGP workbooks you already own.
Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 34 lessons across 10 topics, from comma rules and apostrophes to prefixes, suffixes and the trickiest homophones.
Earth and Space, Forces plus Investigation Skills: 14 lessons across 4 topics, finishing with an end of year boss challenge worth 54 marks in the workbook.
New subjects and year groups are added as curriculum packs. Year 6 content follows next, so the platform grows with your child.
One plan per child per subject. Every topic inside a subject is included.
